(:

my mom makes the best milo in the world.

i used to make andre give me wake up calls when he was still an army boy.
we were not together then, but i used it as an excuse to draw the distance closer between us. :p
and every morning without fail, i would refuse to get out of bed and then bug him for milo till he couldnt contain his curiosity anymore and asked, " why do you like milo so much?"

i blanked for a while, started tracing back and realized why.
since young, my mom would prepare milo for me every morning cos she believes that it's important for a growing child to have a healthy intake of milk.
but she also knew that milk alone didnt really appeal to a kid, so she mixed milo and condensed milk in it.

i forgot when did she stop making milo for me, but she doesn't automatically make milo for me anymore. :(
she does that for yikai though, i think.
but she would still make milo for me when i ask her, but doesnt put in the milk powder anymore.
there goes my calcium.

by the way, andre has officially been upgraded to my one and only human alarm clock. (:

it's been quite a while since the both of us had proper dates and went for a movie. (:
caught phobia 2 at westmall yesterday and we loved it!
it's not the show to watch if you are looking for true blue ghost movies, though there's a certain amount of blood and gore involved.
in fact, the last story in phobia 2 (a spin-off from 4bia) was pretty lame and we laughed through it.
we loved it because both 4bia and phobia 2 hold a special meaning for us.
4bia was one of the classic movie dates that we had when we were unofficial and playing the merry-go-around.
now that we are officially together, it's always nice to re-visit those uncertain yet sweet times.

anyway, after the movie we headed down to tapestry room and FINALLY made the down payment for our combined birthday party venue.
YAY! a heavy load off our shoulders FINALLY!
gonna have to decide on the caterer and work on the invitations soon. :D

The owner, Jeffery, is real nice.
he didn't force me to take up the food that he offered and even suggested that i can get my own caterer if i can get better rates.
said i can also bring in my own alcohol at ZERO corkage charges even though his place is a wine bar and offered to help me with my decorations by throwing in hanging bones for my halloween theme.

im really looking forward to this whole thing.
keeping my fingers crossed that i wont have to work on that day. =/

speaking of work, the past few days spent teaching a group 30 p4 kids about public speaking had been real fulfilling.
to see your plans materializing is one thing.
to see them enjoying AND really learning from it is another.
when the kids came up to us and thanked us and told us they really appreciate and love what we have put together for them, i told myself i want to do more more more more more of these.

the pay's not fantastic.
the workload is quite a bit.
the stress is TREMENDOUS.
but the job satisfaction cancels all of those out.
(:

it's 1pm.
i smell my new phone in the air.
:D
