[#1- the "what if" human]
have you ever been in the kind of situation where you made a firm decision to choose B over A?
then days>months>years passed, you tell yourself, "ive made the right choice."
(: right?
good, picture perfect.
THEN, something had to spark off your "i-wonder-what-it-would-have-been-if-i-stuck-with-A" curiosity.
THEN THEN, you start thinking and wondering what it could have really been.
humans, they are full of "what ifs."
i'm happy for friends who are happy with their A's results.
congrats, darls. (:
sigh, now i owe andre char siew bao already. officially.
and for those who did average/ not as well, it's not the end of the world, you've got lots of other paths.
it's just of matter of if you're willing to take the alternative paths.
and what's done is done, no point crying over spilt milk. -hugs-
and i'm also touched by yanbing's blur little move to send me that encouraging sms for A's.
but for the whole day, i couldn't help but let my "what if" curiosity get the better of me though i already knew the answer and is more than contended to have opted for B.(poly)
now, what did i say of humans?

[#2- paper of interest?]
first and foremost, NO PERSONAL OFFENCE.
well, i know i've said this many times but today is the day of emotions.
to see people around me fretting over securing the competitive slots (read: biz) after slogging two hard years just makes me feel :( too.
not that their slip of paper aint good,
and that was the exactly one of the main reasons why i left for poly.
true, it feels.. not too good to see your pals doing a degree and yourself doing a diploma at the same time.
but when i asked myself again,
"so, you want to secure just ANY degree/place huh?"
i knew deep in my heart, i couldnt have made a better choice.
but it's just that.. i now know it's not as easy as i thought it would have been. and i'm a little disoriented, i must admit.
but hey weijie, people dont normally end up in whatever they major in!
i know. but 12 years of slogging + another 3-4 years = getting a unrelated degree + starting all over again in another field?
sorry, that's not me & i'm not willing to go through all that shit.

[#3- other admission criterias for universities]
Elson just showed me something over msn.
" They say in their website, Up to 10% of vacancies will be set aside for consideration of exceptional candidates for admission to NUS. For such candidates, other factors besides grades will be taken into consideration.
Examples include : Represent Singapore in Arts and/or Sports, active participation in community service and volunteer programmes, work experience relevant to the course applied for (supporting document/s is/are required) "
to be frank, i wonder how much truth does the above chunk hold for poly students.
i'm skeptical.
anyway, bro is asking me to help out with his online biz.
i dunno to be excited or not.
