like a ferrari, 06' zoomed past without much notice and boy am i glad that it's over.
so much has happened within this year.

been reviewing the year's happenings a few days back and thinking about certain issues and people.
i aint some noble captain who would keep heavy boxes with me when my ship's sinking.
however, if these boxes hold sentimental values, i would & will drown (die) without regrets.
go figure.


06 aside, i ushered in 07 with my dear boy at raffles.
the fireworks, though partially blocked by fullerton, were pretty.
but i still think last year's was prettier. (:
met up with the IDEA group to discuss project and went shopping with my dear boy afterwards. (:
bought myself a pretty bracelet with my timely pay. :D
next up was snack-shopping at carrefour for our movie marathon.

caught natioal treasure at the asian civilisation museum before the countdown.
the movie's really nice! cleverly writen and woven with history elements.
then we strolled down the singpore river, chatted and went to 7-11 cos i wanted to grab a swing.
bought pooch and drank to my not-so-heart's content due to the gas. :(

we're born into this world without any freedom of choice on three things:
- year we are born in
- parents whom we are born to
- country we are born in
we've all been in situations where we did things for the sake of our parents.
we've all very much wanted to prove to them, outta anger, that we could do this and that so as to shut them up.
but deep down we all know that most of the times, things dont work out.
simply cos we cant put our hearts into it- it's just not what we want.

sometimes things come with a sacrifice.
he may be able to hurt you for now, for the next three years or even ten years but you'll only be hurting yourself for the whole of your life if you try to follow the mould that he has for you.
