a colleague of mine said, " i think money is more important than studying for me."
she's only 17 now.
i guess when she turns 70, she'll be telling her grandchild a different story.
kam ever told me something when i was caught in the poly-j2 dilemma.
" don't be so obessed with earning money. it's good that you're taking up the responsibilty of answering for your own actions. but what you do in this 3 years will influence your next 30 years."
i couldn't agree more.
in addition, a short 7 months in pj has taught me many out-of-the-classroom lessons and one of the most valuable ones would be setting priorities.
i failed to do that when i was in pj cos jc seriously isnt my cup of tea.
but chen weijie now knows what she wants, where's she heading and what she's aiming for.
she's grateful for this chance that she's given and she's fighting hard to focus in it.
but sometimes it's really tough; juggling between school/work/ccas/relationships.
oh, one more interesting observation/reflection to add.
i was gossiping with my clique on who's which CEO's daughter and who's who's sister in class and all of them said that, "aiya, not surprising what. can tell that XX and YY are rich what!"
and it made me ponder, what if there's someone in the midst of the class whose realted to a millionaire and you cannot tell by the way he behaves/dresses?
never judge a book by its cover.
